Itinerary
Day One, Friday 16th
Arrive at Waterloo and settle into your private room in the Waterloo Homestead or the Shearer’s Lodgings, complete with private bathroom, central heating, and all the luxury amenities for a lovely stay. Relax by the fire or don your winter woollies and take a walk through the paddocks with views to the Matheson Ranges. In the evening, meet the group for a glass of mulled wine by the fire, and dinner at the Shearer’s Lodgings Dining Room.
Day Two, Saturday 17th
Join Bronwyn in the studio space at the Shearer’s Lodgings for an overview of the weekend’s art activities. After morning tea we will take our sketchbooks to Wellingrove Creek for a riverside walk and drawing session.
Soak up a sense of time and place as you sit and draw under the sheoaks with the sound of the creek running by.
Lunch will be waiting back at the Shearers Lodgings. After lunch, settle into the studio to translate drawings into paintings. Explore expressive colour, mark-making, and compositional techniques to capture your own sense of place. On Saturday night, dinner will be served in historic Waterloo homestead.
After dinner, take a moment to step outside and enjoy the vast starry sky, which will spark your imagination on this creative journey.
Day Three, Sunday 18th
Wake to a peaceful New England morning and take time over breakfast, before gathering in the cosy light filled studio to continue painting. Sunday will be a day spent capturing the essence of the winter landscape. Carry on at your own pace, with plenty of cups of tea, inspiration and support as needed.
Lunch, morning, afternoon tea, and dinner will be served at the Shearers Lodgings. As the day closes it is fun to share our creations and experiences.
Day Four, Monday 19th
Depart Waterloo Station after breakfast.
